One Room Challenge- Week 5- Kitchen Remodel

Painting

This week the cabinets were painted, the white oak cabinet, island, and vent hood trim were stained. I like the natural white oak look, so I was thinking of using a clear coat on the white oak piece, but the test sample turned out darker and had a warmer tone. My floors are white oak with a mix of light and dark tones throughout, so I selected the lightest tone and had the painter match as close as possible, and I love how it turned out.

In week 4 the cabinets were installed. See week 4 post.

Walls are getting painted Classic Gray, by Benjamin Moore. In my home this doesn’t look like gray, it reads more of an ecru.
